DocTours Medical Volunteers:  Who are DocTours?

DocTours Medical Volunteers arranges medical electives and health care volunteer work for all medical professionals and students.  We need doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, dentists, and all health care professionals.  Medical students, nursing students and all health care students are very welcome.  Non-medical partners are also welcome and can help teach English to the local children and participate in many other worthwhile activities.

We are passionate about improving access to quality healthcare for everyone.  Globally.  We need volunteers to help make it happen.

DocTours and Amaco Travel have successfully arranged high quality medical conferences for Australian doctors over the past 25 years. The conferences have always been located in interesting destinations (including Cuba, the Amazon Jungle, the Silk Road, Russia, Namibia, Botswana and the Black Sea). All details were meticulously handled so that doctors enjoyed an informative medical conference in conjunction with a fascinating journey.

During their travels, the doctors regularly expressed the desire to ‘give something back’ and that lead to the formation of the AMOS Fund ( and also inspired the creation of our volunteering programs.
