DocTours Privacy Statement

  1. DocTours collects personal information as necessary to arrange travel and volunteering projects.
  2. DocTours collects information only by lawful and fair means and not in an unreasonably intrusive way.
  3. DocTours makes individuals aware that information will be used for the purposes of travel and volunteering related activities only.
  4. Wherever reasonable and practical, DocTours collects information about the individual only from that individual.
  5. Upon request by an individual, DocTours will disclose personal information it holds, the purpose(s) for which it holds the information, and how it collects, holds, uses and discloses the information on said individual who has made the request.
  6. DocTours will not disclose personal information about an individual other than for travel and volunteering related business.
  7. DocTours will disclose information if it reasonably believes that the use or disclosure is necessary to prevent: a serious and imminent threat to an individual’s life, health or safety; or a serious threat to public health and/or public safety.
  8. DocTours will disclose information if it has reason to suspect that unlawful activity has been, is being or may be engaged in, and use or disclosure of the personal information is necessary as part of the investigation.
  9. DocTours will disclose the information if it is required or authorised by or under law.
  10. In respect to sensitive personal information such as information relating to health matters, DocTours will obtain consent from the client as to the collection and proposed use and disclosure of the information.
